2023 AAPI Youth Leadership Conference
2023 AAPI Multicultural Festival
Sunday, May 21, 2023
12pm - 4pm
Cupertino Civic Center/Cupertino Library Plaza
AAPI SV will be holding it's second annual AAPI Multicultural Festival in partnership with Asian American Parents Association, Cupertino Library Foundation, and Bay Area Youth Initiative.
The vibrant AAPI Multicultural Festival will feature local community organizations to showcase and represent their cultural identity, vendors to sell cultural wares, and dynamic performing arts groups to display a unique and creative spectacle! We hope to highlight the mosaic of Asian and Pacific Islander cultures in Silicon Valley and inspire people to take the first step in improving their communities.
Our first festival had 10 booths, more than 13 performing groups and speakers, and around 500 attendees! This year, we are aiming for even greater heights, and we invite you to join us for an afternoon of laughter and festivities!

Film Screening
Sunday, November 20, 2022
6 pm - 8 pm
Los Altos Community Center
AAPI Silicon Valley and Justice Vanguard are collaborating to host a free film Blurring the Color Line. This free event will include a post-show discussion and Q&A with the director, Crystal Kwok.
Blurring the Color Line is inspired by Crystal Kwok’s grandmother’s story about her family’s grocery store in Augusta, Georgia. Her family grew up in a Black neighborhood and they share stories about their personal experiences that expose the problematic, racialized system.
The film decenters existing narratives and showcases perspectives from both the Chinese and Black community, opening up necessary but uncomfortable discussions between marginalized groups.
Blurring the Color Line is a step towards cross-racial solidarity by having a better understanding of the past in efforts of changing the future. Both Asian and Black groups have faced hardships and lack of representation in the media, so this film is needed now more than ever.
